Yaoi/Yuri = gay sex in anime. Slash is the word typically used to refer to yaoi/yuri type stuff in fandoms that aren't anime. Well it's the term I like to use. ^^

Anyway, you probably knew that, just thought I'd comment.

NOTICE: yaoi/yuri is simply the connotation used to define the difference between gay male sex (yaoi) and lesbian sex (Yuri) in manga and anime, specifically in hentai doujinshi and anime.

HOWEVER, it has evolved (like many words) to be used as a slang term interchangeably by those 'in the know' with "Gay male sex" and "Lesbian sex", as those are the basic meanings of the words in english.

Therefore, referring to real life lesbian sex as "Yuri" is the same as calling it, at face value, "LESBIAN SEX".

So, technically, if you're a lesbian female and having sex with another lesbian female, that action CAN be referred to properly as "Yuri sex".
